I’ve been remiss lately in keeping up with this endeavor. Blame internet or the October / November heat wave or my adjustment to Beninese life (I think fewer things take me by surprise or register as noteworthy) or plain laziness. Excuses all, and I’ve decided that my New Year’s resolution will focus on restarting this blog as a means to describe facets of my African life.
To tide you over until then, enjoy the next few blogs of holiday snippets from Thanksgiving and Christmas over here. It’s not quite the same and it’s definitely a little more difficult to get yourself in the holiday mood, but we make do. Also, and / or if these vignettes fail to satisfy your curiosity or appetite for Peace Corps insight, check out this entry from an Ethiopian PCV that’s recently been circulating around the volunteers of PC Benin. It’s spot on in its general description of the Peace Corps experience.
